Quick Hit Friday . . .

"It's good to be the King," - Mel Brooks, "History of the World"

Luckily, it's Friday again and here's a small dose of the important stories of the week (with the exception of Iraq, N. Korea and "Lost.")

Lindsey Lohan recently announced that she'll star along with Keira Knightley in "The Best Time of Our Lives," a film where these two vixens have a lesbian interest in each other.

Now that's a Lohan movie I might pay money to see, and while it won't be the time of my life, I would pay $7 if there's a hot enough scene between the duo. May I suggest that whipped cream is somehow introduced into the story?

I suppose it was only a matter of time, but Scarlett Johansson just signed a recording deal making her the umpteenth actress who suddenly decides that they must record an album. The recording is currently titled "Scarlett Sings Tom Waits."

I like Johansson. I like Waits. I don't like the sound of this project. Not one bit.

Actor Wesley Snipes was indicted this week on eight counts of tax fraud accusing him of trying to cheat the government of $12 million in false refund claims. Snipes, 44, also failed to file tax returns for six years.

My main question is how did Snipes get so much money in the first place?

Those "Blade" sequels must have paid out a lot better than I would have guessed, but how the hell did Snipes think he could forgoe paying taxes for more than half a decade and think that the IRS wouldn't notice?

Snipes faces a maximum of 16 years in prison, and if convicted (which he won't be - "always bet on black" - movie reference not a racial one), he'll have a lot of time to ponder these very questions.

In the latest round of gay denial rumors, Lance Armstrong and Matthew McConaughey have come out and said that they are NOT gay lovers.

The pair - who are often photographed together shirtless - have laughed off rumors that their close friendship has turned physical.

McCaughney said: "A lot of people don't understand friendship and brotherhood. I have a great friend in him. I'd do anything he asked me to, even though he'd probably never ask me to, and he feels the same way."

Armstrong added: "I think people see pictures and they think we're these overgrown frat guys, but we all have those kinds of relationships - and relationship isn't a bad word."

I think it's fine for guys to be good friends and hang out, and when the pair aren't running together they are usually photographed chasing women, which puts a crimp in the whole gay affair rumor.

As long as they don't play the bongos naked together, I think it's all good.

But I suppose there's probably just as many people who get excited about the prospect of them getting together as I do when I think about about Keira and Lindsey.

Different strokes, eh?

Per usual, let's end with an image that is pleasing to me, and hopefully others as well.

I don't know why, but there's just something about this picture that makes me want perform deviant acts . . . Happy Friday.

  2. I might pay money to see that Lohan movie as well...I actually think she's a pretty good actress ("Mean Girls") and so is Knightly. I still think it would be hard to top "Mulholland Drive" for a girl/girl scene though! Let's hope Lance and Matt don't have a "naked sauna" like Foley and his priest friend...but of course that was non-sexual.

  4. I never saw any of the Blade movies, but what I have seen of Snipes is that he just seems to stalk around high on testosterone!
    Way too much bravado.
And what about that old nasty rumor that he beat the living crap out of Halle Berry? Leaving her hearing impaired in one ear.
Needless to say, I am not a fan!
So, I wasn't surprised that he cheated on/neglected his taxes.

    And Scarlett singing??
    Don't do it girl!
Although I am morbidly curious, this rarely works out.

  6. Happy Friday to you guys!!

  7. Jlee - I know "Mean Girls" was good, and I paid to see it. And you hit the nail on the head with that Mulholand Drive scene as what a fitting way to end a truly bizarre (but very good) movie as that perked me right up.

Kayla - Yeah, Snipes just seems like an all-around asshole from everything I've read. I think "morbidly curious" is precisely how I feel about it too - but not enough to actually buy the thing.

Nobich - Right back at you and everyone else out there as Fridays always put me in a good mood.

  8. Wesley Snipes was in a lot of great movies, including "Murder at 1600," "To Wong Foo...," "U.S. Marshalls," and, one of my faves, "The Art of War." He was also on my list of men my husband is supposed to allow me to have sex with, as per one of your previous blog postings, in which we are all given a free pass with up to five famous people.

And, on a completely unrelated matter, have you ever noticed that you get the most comments whenever you post shirtless pictures of yourself?

  10. Can they not just stick to one profession? Actors, singers, desingers, perfume makers ....ughh! Scarlett is turning into Paris before our eyes.

As for the boys, it would be better if they were Bi and put out a video on the net for all to see, hot sweaty matt and lance yummmm!

  12. Oh... I do hope keira knightley and Lohan buy a couple of Big Macs before filming starts. If not then... we'll be watching two skeletons playing with whipped cream.

    Not very sexy, says I.

  13. Wendy - I happen to like "Major League" and the first "Blade" was OK as was "The Fan." But "The Art of War" - I think that went straight to video. As for the correlation, I try to not dwell on those kind of things. Ha.

Miss Ash - I can't say I share your Lance/Matt idea, but Scarlett already has more talent than Paris ever will. I just wish she would hone it onscreen vs. a recording studio.

Jackie - Ha. A little gay, eh? That's a very fine line I suppose, and while I think it would be fun to go partying with Lance/Matt, that's where it would end unless there was a string of groupies and a hot tub.

Dr - I agree that Keira needs to eat something, but I think the last time I saw Lindsey's pics she had put on some weight, which was good. Give me some curves and then throw all the whipped cream you can stand into the mix.

  14. I'd say something about mutually horny about that last pic, but it'd be way too easy. Glad I didn't take the easy shot.

Anyone notice that all the other pics had the same size boobs including WS?

    hmmm.

    Meow.

  15. Good point as I hadn't noticed the similarity that was staring me right in the face. I feel so ashamed.

And thanks for not going the easy route on the horny demon pic too.

  17. That last pic is pretty hot.

  18. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. Pure lust.

  20. Posting so early in the morning about Devil's. That's a really cool picture!

  21. Can't remember where I found it, but I liked it too.
