I don't feel the need to constantly criticize celebrities for looking horrendous, and I generally feel that there's a surplus of irritating snark on the Internet but lately I just can't stay away from brutal sights like this:
This was Mariah Carrey at a recent appearance where she was singing, dancing and working up a nasty sweat that makes me want to stay far away from her.
She is working those Daisy Duke shorts in ways that should never be done to any amount of denim, and I bet they stink to high heaven.
It's tough work putting on a show for your fans, however, Mariah should seriously consult her makeup team because they have let her down in a big way.
And now I am forced to comment on it, although this is the last time for awhile as I would much rather look at things that excite me than those that repulse me.
In a different late news item, former 'N Sync member Lance Bass admitted to People magazine that he is gay.
In a related story - the sun rose in the East.

Yes, Mariah's a beast. But I'm interested in your progress on your script sale.
There was never any doubt in my mind that Lance wasn't gay. I think it's wrong that he decided to keep it a secret till now because he thought it would affect the group's success. And plus, N'Sync has been out of the picture for years... why's he bringing this up now? Somebody's looking for some media attention... I wonder why.
WoW! Mariah is lookin very scarry as of late........ whoooa!
:o
oh no it looks like mariah aged!
i love putting down other people in order to feel better about myself. especially people who get no privacy whatsoever and have their every move and decision scrutinized by people who have nothing better to do.
oh, that sounded like i was insulting you, $2. i'm not, she looks like hell. go back to bed mariah!
oh, that painting is salvador dali, "raphael-esque head exploded," perhaps the most direct title he's ever given to a painting. i love it, and i was lucky enough to see it in person several years ago.
Mariah looks rather Trannyish in that picture. I didn't realize it was her until I read it.
I've visited Japan several times and lived 3 months there. Lost in Translation depicts perfectly what it is like over there. I am quite sure loads of things were lost in the translation.
Everyone hates Mariah. But she sells millions and millions, and is nominated for Grammies. How can it be?
For the records: I hate her.
drr... I'm to disturbed...
I heard she asks her "people" to take off the size 16 clothing tags off her clothes and replace them with 6 to make herself feel better.
Someone's in denial.
Nicholas - The progress has been halted lately. Last year, we came within 2 pts of placing in the International Screenwriting Competition and we're currently re-vising a second comedy script for competitions and beyond. More to come on that later.
Grace - It's true that Lance was fooling nobody these past few years, and I think he finally got tired of answering the same question over and over again as he has no new projects on the horizon.
Starbender - More than a little scary indeed.
Julia - No offense taken, and that painting was excellent. As for celebs it is a double-edged sword that if you feel like flaunting your looks for the public you have to take the good with the bad. And sometimes the awful.
Last - Lance was too easy a target & that's why he only merited a few sentences from me.
Robert - Definitely a bit mann-ish in my book, which is somewhat strange as the last time I saw pics of her she looked better than I'd seen in a long time.
Caco - I don't hate Mariah, but neither do I buy her records. As for "Lost in Translation" - it's one of the best movies I've seen in the past 5 years.
Dr - I've never heard that story, but I believe it as I've read articles on Mimi where she doesn't appear to have a firm grasp on reality.
It seems like there have been several pictures lately with Mariah's head cocked at a funky angle. Odd!
Lance - what shock. Not!
Maybe she thinks it looks better that way.
She's obviously wrong.
