It's been a long time since the previous installment in this series, but I recently came across these pictures of Britney Spears and Mel Gibson and thought that the images constituted a titanic battle fit for this Evil series.
As I mentioned, this is a fierce contest as Gibson's shot was in Costa Rica where he recently purchased a home (and has a glazed look similar to the one he displayed just prior to his DWI arrest), and Spears is simply acting crazy inside a sporting goods store and then looking even more unhinged with a hot pink wig.
I would have to argue that Gibson is the lesser of two evils here. Gibson is older, has more money and seems to have the good sense to take his particular brand of insanity to South America where he can drink and run wild on his own fortified compound without raising too many eyebrows.
He's obviously not hurting for women either.
As for Spears, she seems to be regressing again. She looks crazed and bloated and if her day job consists of bizarre displays of her questionable tennis skills, then I would also worry that it's only a matter of time before she fritters away the money she made when she actually had a management team that kept her on a short leash and working.
This was not an easy choice, but by judges decision I have to award Spears the victory. It's a dubious honor for certain, and Gibson only finished slightly ahead of her, yet in the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is King.
-BDS
I fail to see how Gibson is an evil at all.
So he's rich and famous and he's using that wealth and fame to move to Costa Rica, get shit-faced and live like a king next to a bevy of women. Okay not the hottest chicks in the world, but maybe he's a quantity over quality guy. And hey, ugmoes need some good lovin' too.
Mel's living the life. We should all be so lucky.
I would have to agree on this, although if Mel wears a pink wig and/or a dress without undies, we will have to revisit this issue.
I have to agree, though Mel is running a close second. That glazed over look is getting old. However, Spears gets a little more wiggy everyday. Again, it makes you realize that oddly enough, Keven Federline at the moment is clearly the more stable parent. Lord, what is the world coming to? LOL
WhatIgot - If you brush aside the anti-Semitism, then I would admit that we should all be so lucky as Gibson to run crazy down in S. America. No question about it.
Jlee - I hope if Gibson does resort to wearing that then I never see those pictures. Ouch.
Sarcastic - It is a sobering thought to realize that K-Fed is the more responsible of the two, which again, makes me fear for those kids. That's two strikes against you right off the bat.
I agree that Mel is the lesser of two evils. Brit Brit (as PP's cousin used to call her) has clearly lost her mind.
I have to go with Mel being far more evil than Brit. As far as I know, she hasn't drunkenly spouted anti-semitic rhetoric at cops. She's unbalanced to be sure, but Mel has a more... insidious and clandestine evil about him. Much more dangerous. Watch out for him to get involved in poltics.
Miss Ash - She has lost it again, and it's making me wonder if she ever had it to begin with.
Getoffmylawn - I like your "insidious and clandestine" description of Gibson. If you're talking about more danger in the evil sense, then it probably is Mel, but if it's a more playful evil then I would stick with Spears.
I believe Mel is the worst because he supposedly has God on his side. Since he is part of that 'if it isn't in latin than it ain't right' new world church order, I wonder what the latin word is for fuck up. Britney is just a danger to herself and any furry animal she decides to adopt on a whim. Cancel the girls credit cards and get back to rehab.
Mel needs the rehab too....but maybe the 12 steps have to be translated into latin first.
I read the title of your post as "The Lesser of two Elvises" for some reason. Which I don't think either of these people are in league with Elvis, and if someone is going to impersonate him, I think these two would be equally evil, and less than The King.
That would be a whole different series, but one that has loads of potential. Maybe in the future. . .
