Quick Hit Friday . . .

“Mr.McAllister. Mr.McAllister. Somebody's torn down my poster. It's not fair. Can I get an A? Can I get a recommendation? Can I? Can I? Fuck them.” – Matthew Broderick, “Election”

This film is the best thing Reese Witherspoon’s ever done, and the second best for Matthew Broderick (behind ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’). I hope the best thing I’m going to do is still yet to come, although whatever that may be will certainly not happen today. Today, I plan to be gone by 3 p.m. unless something goes awry, but before that can happen, let’s look at the hard stories of the weeks such as:

During the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night, Sascha Baron Cohen – dressed in a thong as his fashion designer character ‘Bruno’ – flew into the theater and landed his bare ass straight onto rapper Eminem.

After the prank, Eminem and his entourage appeared to leave in a huff without a word to Cohen or the cameras. Since the show, there has been wide speculation that Eminem was in on the stunt and it was staged to attract attention, and all signs point to the rapper being in on the joke.

Regardless, if the real Slim Shady had simply stood up, he could have avoided a face full of ass.

Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez were spotted getting cozy last month at a restaurant in New York City, and now a source confirms they are dating.

"It's somewhat serious," the source tells PEOPLE in its upcoming issue. "He introduced her to a bunch of his friends."

Hudson has also been seen at several Yankees games lately cheering on A-rod. For one of the games, she sent her son Ryder and his nanny to the ballpark while she "stayed behind and watched the game from the hotel," adds the eyewitness. "She remarked several times about what a big baseball fan she is!"

The eyewitness later expanded Hudson’s interest to “really any sport that involves balls.”

The Jonas Brothers and their mother, Denise, are on the cover of Good Housekeeping's July issue, and in the article their mother discusses her son’s sexuality. Seriously.

Speaking about her sons' chastity vows, Denise said: ”They are men. They have desires. They have testosterone. . . “

I didn’t realize that Joe Simpson had had started managing the Jonas Brothers too.

Teenage actress and singer Miley Cyrus has signed up to star in a fourth series of the hit US show Hannah Montana, according to reports.

The Hollywood Reporter said the 16-year-old will begin filming at the beginning of next year, and prior to the deal it was not clear whether Cyrus would make anymore Montana shows for the Disney channel.

After the contract was signed, Mickey Mouse removed his homemade knife from Miley’s throat, and whispered “tell no one” before leaving out the back door.

Universal Studios picked up the movie rights to the popular children's book series “Where’s Waldo” from Classic Media with the aim of making a live-action family film.

The film project will be produced by Chris Meledandri's Illumination Entertainment, and the plot of that project revolved around a 30-year-old Waldo who travels through time after accidentally activating a malfunctioning travel machine.

The answer to “Where’s BDS” can only be anywhere except a theater where this movie is playing.

Heidi and Spencer Pratt walked off then back on and maybe back off (who knows at press time) of the show "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" this week.

"I'm a Celebrity" airs from the Costa Rican jungle, with semi-famous people competing for food, supplies, money for their chosen charities — and TV screen-time. But Pratt and Montag quickly became fed up as Spencer explained, "Super-celebrities don't belong in the jungle. They belong in Hollywood with the paparazzi."

"We're gonna miss you guys," Heidi told the cast. "But call us when you get back to LA."

The only thing I wouldn't miss about Pratt and Montag is a TV show where they got run over by a bulldozer - I would make sure to watch that.

LeAnn Rimes was accused of stalking her former co-star and alleged marital affair guy, Eddie Cibrian, this week as Cibrian’s wife told US Weekly that the country singer won’t let him go.

“LeAnn is a stalker,” she said. “She refuses to leave us alone – it is shameful and scary. People are going to say it takes two to tango and I get that, but at some point LeAnn needs to stop asking him to dance."

Rimes responded that she never tangos, but some dirty two-stepping might be another matter entirely.

As always, let’s end with a gold image or three:

These women all seem vaguely related or maybe it’s just because they are all in various states of undress while lounging around without a care in the world. That’s where I want to be too. So, cast aside any negative tones today, feel free to shed some clothing and . . . Happy Friday!!!

  2. I agree with you completely on both Reese Witherspoon and Matthew Broderick. Election was fine film.

Kate Hudson, all downhill since her Le Divorce from Chris Robinson. She hasn't made a good movie in a while and it looks like she's now back to being Almost Famous. Maybe, if I could think of another of her films, i could continue this joke, but I can't.

I got nothing on Hanson, er, the Jonas Brothers.

Considering the current state of Hillary Duff's career and Lindsay Lohan's career, leaving Disney is a bad thing so Miley would be wise to do what the mouse says.

If you're going to post a picture of Waldo, at least make a challenge out of it. This puzzle was way too easy.

Those two twats Spencer and Heidi are so stupid, they probably thought that by being surrounded by poor Latinos, they must have been in the valley and not the Hills of which they are accustomed. I'd love to have seen the look on their faces when somebody told them there's no cab that will take them from Costa Rica back to Beverly Hills.

Damn, LeAnn got old fast. She looks like an aged old hen in that shot.

Anyhoo, Happy Friday and my vote is for pic #2 with the grapes.

  3. WIGSF - Appreciate the detail, Election was fantastic all the way around (even Chris Klein), you're right about Hudson but she was good in 'Almsot Famous', don't blame you on the Jonas bros, had to laugh about the Waldo as you're right, Pratt & Montag just fla-out suck, LeAnn has been around for awhile now, and the seductive grape shot is a good one. Happy Friday.

  5. Quick Heff Friday !!!

The MTV prank proves what I've known all this time - "Eminem" loves MALE ASS. The only thing rigged about this stunt was paying him to walk away from it. He should really change his name to "Assinem", I'm sure he'd LOVE the punishment.

Kate Hudson is really giving her poon a workout these days. There's no denying she loves "A-rod"....everybody's.

The Jonas Brothers have about as much collective testosterone as a mere spoonful of my SPUNK. "The Jonas Brothers : Family Friendly, Mother Approved".

I can only hope that Miley Cyrus' career is as fleeting as her father's (Billy Gay Virus) was.

    Where's a 30 year old Waldo ? Who gives a shit ?

I've actually watched "I'm NOT a Celebrity, get me out of here". I'm afraid Pratt and his creepy flesh-colored beard will return, but I'd rather him "Run To The Hills".

LeAnn Rimes is a stalker ??? I guess she had "Nothin' Better To Do" !

Regarding the 2nd Gold image, I know the title of it : "The Grapes Of Bath" !

Have a Great Weekend, BDS !

  6. See, now I was completely unaware that the Jonas brothers were men. And speaking of the Jonas Brothers, your joke about Mickey holding a knife to Miley Cyrus' throat reminded me of that South Park episode with them in it. Hilarious. If you haven't seen it, I suggest finding it online ASAP.

  7. Heff - Appreciate the detail, Assinem doesn't sound quite as good, but you never really know, ouch on Hudson but the A-rod is funny, never want to hear about yr. spunk and Jonas bros in the same sentence again, Miley will be around for longer, agree, can't believe you watched that show - ha-, and that pun made it all worthwhile. Great. Happy Friday.

Native Minnow - Thanks for the tip as I have NOT seen that one, but it's got to be on Youtube or Hulu or something. ANd I missed the Jonas Bros being men message too. Happy Friday.

  9. I never saw "Election" guess I'll have to add it to my list...

I "cracked up" at Bruno's stunt on the MTV movie awards and I'm still unclear whether Eminem was in on it, considering Cohen's love of pulling random crap on unsuspecting people. Funny regardless.

I agree about "Speidi" and just did a post on that damn show (ok, I watched 2 episodes)

My favorite line of today was regarding the Jonas Brothers:
"I didn’t realize that Joe Simpson had had started managing the Jonas Brothers too." hahah

    Have a great weekend.

  11. My sources say that cretinous talentless moronic weakling Eminem was NOT in on Baron-Cohen's latest stunt.

His PR flacks spread the story that he WAS because they thought his crybaby-weakling reaction would harm the "tough guy" image they've crafted for him. They've even reached out to Cohen's people to get THEM to say that Eminem was in on it.

And his other managers, upon seeing the subdued reaction of his "posse" of "bodyguards", think that the stunt will cause a lot more people to take a poke at him when he appears in public.

  13. Happy Friday!!

  14. I'm half with you on Reese. I think that Election was her best role, but the best movie with her in it, to me, was Fear.

Kate Hudson and A-Rod? Uh oh, I'd be more afraid of Madonna. She scares me.

I am pretty sure I read somewhere once that one of the J Bros has type 1 diabetes. I admire which ever brother that is for being able to sustain this 'celeb career.' But I still think they all need haircuts and and for someone to kick their ass.

I bet the only reason Miley signed up for another season is because her pervy 20 year old boyfriend has a 'thing' for underage girls on the Disney Channel.

Come on now, a Where's Waldo movie? I'm desperate for an original story line from Hollywood. Is that ever going to happen?

Spencer Pratt is a tool. Someone needs to kick his ass too.

LeAnn is just looking to stay in the spotlight, er, bushes.

  15. Jlee – You should definitely rent Election (funny stuff), love a good pun and it was a funny stunt for sure, I can’t belief you made it through 2 episodes as you are brave, and Joe Simpson just plain creeps me out. Happy Friday.

Troll Y2K – Interesting. I’ve seen it both ways, but lately, they’ve been spinning it that he was in on the stunt. I could see it going either way, but thanks for the source information. Regardless, I was surprise Eminem sold as many copies of his latest CD as he did (I did not buy one). Happy Friday.

Nobich – Happy Friday to you.

Kmwthay – Appreciate the detail and wow, I hadn’t thought ‘Fear’ in a long time (you mean so bad it’s good right? Ha), Madonna is far more terrifying than Kate, laughed out loud about Jonas ass kicking, I wondered if Cyrus was still dating that guy and he hadn’t been arrested, loathe Pratt and Montag with intense passion, agree on Waldo and LeAnn I’m just bored with. Happy Friday.

  17. Okay so the Jonas Brothers thing really creeped me out!! Ewe!

I watched the Eminem clip on youtube to see what all the hype was about. Funny yes, staged of course. I still have yet to watch the awards. I'm thankful for reruns.

  18. Miss Ash - You and me both. The Jonas thing is disturbing, and re-runs for MTV is the only way I've seen any of those awards shows in the last 5+ years.
